Summer Rains Effecting Your Property.

How many of you remember the great deluge of 1996?  Aurora Illinois received 19 inches of rain in 24 hours matching a national record.  You never know when mother nature will unleash another monster summer storm on Chicagoland.  Basements were flooded, yards were under water and roads were closed.  How do you protect yourself from an unexpected summer storm?

Try a sump pump with a battery backup system in place.  Within hours a flood can envelop your home from the basement on up.  The result could be hundreds of thousands of dollars in water damage, not to mention the loss of personal property that can never be replaced.  For the solution call AquaTech Plumbing at (630) 416- 3555.  They provide 3 lines of defense against flooding and do it at a very reasonable price with payment plans available.

If you live in the Naperville-Plainfield-Aurora, Geneva-Batavia-St.Charles or Wheaton-Winfield-Warrenville-Glen Ellyn area, contact AquaTech Plumbing at (630)-416-3555, 630-377-9555, or 630-462-3555 for more information on how you can defend your home against summer rains.

Shopping for a Water Heater.

Is it time to replace that old water heater?  If it is you have two distinct choices…standard and tankless.  AquaTech Plumbing serving the western suburbs of Chicago wants you to be educated as to the choices involved.  A water heater is something that you will live with for many years to come and you need to make the right decision for your home and lifestyle.

If you choose a standard water heater you want something that lasts a long time and is less susceptible to leaking and rupturing.  A big tank water heater that stores 40 to 60 gallons of hot water at a time will keep your showers, laundry, and other hot water needs properly satisfied for quite some time.  Modern tanks reheat additional supply quite quickly as well, so you'll likely never run out of hot water when you need it.

With a tankless water heater you are spending more upfront, but your back-end savings will more than make up for it.  Tankless systems provide that hot water on demand, instantaneously, when you need it, so you don't have to waste energy heating unused water.  And finally, a typical tank water heater is supposed to last 10 to 13 years, tankless water heaters are estimated to last up to 20 years.

If you live in the Naperville-Plainfield-Aurora, Geneva, Batavia, St. Charles, or Wheaton, Winfield, Warrenville, Glen Ellyn area - AquaTech IS your neighborhood plumber.  To discover the complete story on the right water heater for your needs give us a call today at 630-416-3555, 630-377-9555, or 630-462-3555.

Transition Your Plumbing From The Harsh Winter To The Spring And Summer Months

Spring is in the air. The weather is warming and the birds are chirping. We deserve it Chicago!

Now it is necessary to transition your home from that awful winter to the spring and summer months. During the winter, leaves, debris, mud etc. got caked in your rain gutters, pipes and more.

So, what can you do to ready your home for spring? AquaTech plumbing serving the far western suburbs of Chicagoland will do a thorough examination to make sure that all of your plumbing needs inside and out are working efficiently and are ready for the change of season.

Old Man Winter probably played havoc with your sprinkler system.  Dead foliage has found its way into your water system and intends on building its own mini lock and dam.  All of that sediment and debris needs to be removed in order for your home’s plumbing to run properly. Evidence of a clog in the trap is when all of your toilets make a gurgling noise. When the pressure is low and when water returns to the tub even after you’ve drained it.

If you live in the Naperville-Plainfield-Aurora, Geneva, Batavia, St. Charles, or Wheaton, Winfield, Warrenville, Glen Ellyn area - AquaTech IS your neighborhood plumber.  For all of your plumbing needs both residential and commercial. Give us a call today at 630-416-3555, 630-377-9555, or 630-462-3555.

Preventing Plumbing Problems Before an Emergency.

Now that spring has sprung here are some tips, courtesy of AquaTech plumbing to possibly prevent a more serious situation:

When was the last time you checked all of the faucets inside and outside your home for drips and leaks?

Place a half dozen or so drops of food coloring in your toilet tanks. Leave the toilets alone for a half hour or more. Come back and check to see if the water in the bowl of any of the toilets has become tinted with the food-coloring dye from the tank. If it has, you've got a leak between the tank and the bowl.

Turn on all valves under any sinks and toilets to make sure they work with ease and won't stick.

Make sure the temperature on your water heater is not set to more than 120 degrees. This will not only prevent burns but also reduce energy consumption.

This one seems obvious, but many people are too lazy or incapable to clean out any yard drains, downspouts, and gutters.  If you can’t do it yourself see if you can find a more able body to do it for you.

Above all trust the plumbing experts at AquaTech Plumbing for all of your plumbing needs.  If you live in the Naperville-Plainfield-Aurora, Geneva, Batavia, St. Charles, or Wheaton, Winfield, Warrenville, Glen Ellyn area AquaTech IS your neighborhood plumber…and that is all you need to know.  Call them any time at 630-416-3555, 630-377-9555, or 630-462-3555 for assistance for all of your plumbing needs.
